Fremantle defender Luke McPharlin will miss Saturday's clash with the Crows after being found guilty of making forceful contact to West Coast's Jack Darling.

McPharlin attempted to fight the charge at the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night, claiming the contact made was to Darling's arm, rather than the shoulder.

However, the tribunal adjudged that contact was made to a 'no-contact zone' and duly rejected McPharlin's claims.

McPharlin will now be absent from Fremantle's clash with Adelaide on the weekend and have 37.5 points added to his future record.
