Carlton coach Brett Ratten has launched an impassioned defence of Chris Judd, claiming the Blues captain is judged against higher standards than other AFL players.
Judd received a four-match suspension for pulling on the arm of North Melbourne's Leigh Adams in Friday night's match, forcing the latter off the field with a shoulder injury.
But Ratten believes Carlton's skipper has copped more criticism than other players would have.
"I think he gets judged fairly hardly across the land and I suppose the role model status that he sets and the way he conducts himself, I think if he does anything out of turn, I think there's a bigger spotlight on him than most of the other players in the competition," Ratten said on Wednesday.

its about time Judd got what he should have gotten all the other times he was in trouble. he should have gotten time before even when he played for the west coast eagle. thats saying something as i'm an eagles fan.
Replyyou all are sick people carlton in your eye donkeys
ReplyTime for you to leave my beloved Carlton, Ratten. Judd has been playing badly for months he has not been in form ever since his son was born. Not blaming anyone for that but it is a fact. Judd is frustrated about something, word is he is frustrated with you Ratts. On the same token I think Judd is very good at marketing himself. Maybe he is going for a new sponsorship with Kentucky Fried Chicken. Try the new "Judd Chicken Wings". Nice one Juddy!!!
ReplyJudd's record speaks for itself. Eyegouging, pressure points and now this. What's next? A John Hopawate special?
