I admit I'm a pretty big nerd for this fantasy sports stuff so I'm looking to start something a bit different than the usual non-active #$%$ leagues.
At the start of 2012 I'm planning on setting up an 8 Sport Championship League and was just seeing if anyone would be interested.
The 8 sports will be MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA, Golf, NASCAR, English Premier League, and Aussie Rules Football.
The EPL and AFL leagues will be salary cap leagues, Golf and NASCAR operate by having a limit on the number of times you can use a certain player or racer, and the
MLB, NFL, NHL, and NBA will be drafted like normal with the draft order based on the current standings of the active leagues. For instance, the first year of MLB will be determined by everyones standings in Golf and NASCAR.
The order of the sports are:
Golf:Jan-Sep
NASCAR:Feb-Nov
AFL:Mar-Sep
MLB:Apr-Sep
EPL:Aug-May
NFL:Aug-Dec
NHL:Oct-May
NBA:Nov-Jun
That means that each "season" will be about 18 months long so from January to June of next year we'll have 2 reasons running at the same time.
I want it to be a pretty chilled league so there'll be no keepers, minor league rosters, or #$%$ like that.
I'll set up a spreadsheet to keep track of the standings so all you have to worry about it setting your rosters.
Keep in mind I know next to nothing about Golf, NASCAR, NFL, and very little about AFL.
Let me know if you're interested.
