Robertson suffered a season ending knee injury in Round 10 last season and managed to play just 10 games - his lowest return since his debut year in 1997. Entering his 13th season, he has played 215 games and has scored 399 goals. Robertson's strong marking and accurate kicking for goal make him an important player for Melbourne as it looks to rebuild its forward-line. The mercurial forward faces a long road to recovery, but he should return to the Demons' line-up during 2009.
