McNamara was the youngest player selected at the 2007 NAB AFL Draft and spent the majority of last year playing for Sandringham in the VFL reserves. He moves well for his size and is generally a good kick. He plays primarily as a defender but has also got the flexibility to drift further up the ground and play on a wing. McNamara shows plenty of promise and will be looking at making his debut in 2009.
