Sylvia played a career-high 18 games last season as he finally showed signs of living up to the status of being a top-10 draft pick. He averaged career-highs in both disposals and marks as he was introduced into the midfield mix. The move further up the ground didn't affect his scoreboard impact though as he booted a career high 16 goals. He ranked equal No.1 at the club in goal assists but also showed he was strong in the air grabbing the third-most contested marks of any player at the club. Sylvia stepped up last season and expect him to take another step in 2009.
