Jamar has been the understudy to Jeff White for his entire career and in 2009 he may assume the role of Melbourne's No.1 ruckman. The hard-working big man doesn't win a lot of the ball but he makes up for this with his persistence and love for a contest. Entering his seventh season at the club, he has played 66 games and booted 21 goals and will be vying with Paul Johnson for number No.1 ruck duties this season.
