Franklin mesmerised opposition defenders last year on his way to 113 goals for the season. He was the first player to kick 100 goals in a H&A season since Tony Lockett in 1998 and was unstoppable averaging 15 disposals, six marks and five goals per game. He had an amazing 201 scoring shots at goal - not to mention the many he sprayed out on the full. He dominated both in the air and at ground level as his athleticism and agility shone out. The one area that let him down though was his discipline as he gave away the most free kicks of any in 2008. Expect even bigger things from “Buddy” in 2009.
