Johnson is one of the most creative forwards in the competition and last season he averaged a career high 20 disposals and scored a career high 53 goals. He had a relatively quiet start to the year, but from Round 10 onwards he was able find more of the ball and have a greater impact on the scoreboard. He was goalless only once from this point onwards highlighting his consistency. He also played in every game for the first time in his career and was named All-Australian for the second consecutive year.
