Murphy's best form of his career was in 2006 when he played a career high 12 games, averaging 10 disposals per game and booting 21 goals at an above average accuracy of 73%. He has managed just 16 games and eight goals in the past two seasons, scoring at a woeful accuracy of just 38%. He showed some good signs in the WAFL last season, booting 45 goals in just 10 games, but failed to reproduce any of that form at AFL Level.
