Lloyd kicked 62 goals for the second consecutive season even though he played a different role to that in previous years. He pushed further up the ground in 2008, but this didn't effect his scoreboard impact. His scoring accuracy of 80% was also the best of any of the top 50 goalkickers in the AFL. Lloyd's best game for the year came against Melbourne in Round 18 where he kicked eight goals and also took the AFL mark of the year. He has kicked 891 career goals and will be looking to break the 1000 goals milestone before he retires.
