Lockyer played all 24 games for Collingwood last season, but he did not have as big of an impact on the team as he has had in previous seasons. He spent more time in the forward-line than ever before and finished with a career high 21 goals for the season. His role continually changed throughout the season however, as he also spent time in defence playing on an opposition small forward. He has played 107 games without a miss since Round 10, 2004 - currently the longest streak of any Collingwood player and the third longest current streak in the AFL.
