Medhurst was rewarded for a career-best season with his first selection into the AFL All-Australian team (forward pocket) and a career-high second placing in his club's B&F award. He won the Gordon Coventry trophy as Collingwood's leading goalkicker last season, finishing with a career high 50 goals and a career high 37 score assists. He was Collingwood's most valuable forward leading the side in disposals inside forward 50, marks inside 50, groundball-gets inside 50 and tackles inside 50.
