Since being drafted, Hawksley has played only four games - all in 2008. At AFL level he played mainly off a half-back flank where he averaged 11 disposals. He represented the Suncoast Lions on 15 occasions at an average of 15 disposals, however his season went from strength to strength at that level picking up 20 or more disposals in 10 of the last 11 matches.
