Leuenberger is rated as one of the best young talented ruckmen in the competition. In two years he has failed to have any real impact however, which is a common trait of young ruckmen. At the moment he is second in line at Brisbane for the top ruck spot, however his two best performances at AFL level have been when Jamie Charman has been out of the side. The big wraps on Leuenberger have compared him to West Coast's Dean Cox - a ruckman who can dominate ruck contests, win disposals around the ground and go forward and kick goals.
