Hall endured a tumultuous 2008 with two separate suspensions, a wrist injury and a club-imposed ban derailing his season. He played 15 games for the year which was his lowest return since 1998, but he was still able to have an impact topping the Swans goalkicking for the seventh straight season. Hall was still an imposing figure averaging 14 disposals and six marks per game, while taking an impressive 47 contested marks for the season - 25 more than the next best Swans player. It has been widely speculated that Hall will retire at the end of the season and take up a lucrative boxing career.
