McGinnity is a lightly build midfielder who played 11 games for Claremont in the WAFL last season averaging 17 disposals per game. He represented WA in the 2007 NAB Under-18 Championships and was mainly used as a tagger, but can also find his own footy and be a creative player. McGinnity will be given more time to develop his game in the WAFL this season.
