After making his AFL debut in 2007, McKinley was a revelation last season playing 18 games. With the move of Quinten Lynch further up the ground, McKinley became the Eagles' No.1 target and proved his worth booting 42 goals. At 184cm, McKinley is not the ideal height for a key forward, but what he lacks in height he makes up for with his hard running and accurate kicking. McKinley was a consistent performer throughout the season and his seven goals in the Round 19 win over Essendon was a real highlight.
