Kerr was the subject of trade speculation at the end of last season, but the match winning midfielder has committed to the Eagles long-term. He managed just the 11 games last season as injuries and a suspension restricted him severely. Kerr was always going to come under extra attention from opposition sides after the departure of Ben Cousins and Chris Judd, but he was still able to average 24 disposals and five clearances per game. Despite playing half the season, Kerr led the club in running bounces and was ranked fourth in clearances highlighting his importance to the team.
