After playing in every game in 2007, Hunter played just the 11 games last season as a knee injury and a shoulder problem brought his season to a premature halt. He once again shared his time in between defence and attack, but didn't have the same impact as he did in previous years. As one of the best “swingmen” in the AFL, Hunter's greatest strength is his marking, particularly in a contest. As one of the elder statesman in the West Coast line-up, Hunter will bring up his 150th game in 2009.
