Cornes had a huge start to 2008 but his season was ruined by injuries as he could only manage just 13 games - his lowest return since his debut year in 1999. Despite his injury worries, he still averaged 21 disposals, six marks and three tackles per game. Mark Williams has the luxury of using the talented utility in any position on the ground as he has the ability to dominate in defence, the midfield or even up forward. Entering his 11th season, he will bring up his 200th game early in 2009.
