Tredrea has struggled since 2006, but last season he showed glimpses of his former self playing 17 games and booting 31 goals before a shoulder injury ended his year. He looked more mobile and much sharper in 2008 and was great at bringing his teammates into the game ranking No.1 at the club in score assists. He was no longer the elite match-winner he was earlier in his career, but he did enough to earn himself a one-year contract extension. He is the current record holder for most games and goals for Port Adelaide with 227 games and 488 goals respectively.
