A former cricketer, Dawson is a lightly built forward who is extremely quick and a good overhead mark. He represented South Australia at last years NAB AFL Under-18 Championships and also played SANFL under-19's for Woodville-West Torrens. He has an eye for goal and will be given plenty of time to develop his game in the SANFL in 2009.
