Davenport was given a lifeline by Port Adelaide and was selected at pick No.88 in the 2008 NAB AFL Draft. After being delisted by Geelong at the end of last season, he was unable to play a game in his two years with the Cats. Davenport is a hard-running midfielder who can also play in defence and will add plenty of depth to the Power midfield in 2009.
