Lobbe was a high selection in the 2007 NAB AFL Draft and spent his first season at Port Adelaide playing in the SANFL reserves with the Port Adelaide Magpies. He has the body to play in a key position up forward or even in the ruck and has shown signs that he is capable of playing in either role. Lobbe will be given more time to develop his game in the SANFL this season and may be introduced into the team from 2010 onwards.
