Westhoff was the surprise packet of 2007 playing 16 games and booting 34 goals in his first season at AFL level. Taken as a late selection in the 2007 NAB AFL Draft, the tall and agile forward failed to have the same impact last season despite playing in all but one game. He kicked fewer goals, but was able to increase his output as he ventured further up the ground to get the ball. A future full-forward, his strong leading and good hands make him an important player for Port Adelaide.
