Throughout his career, Holland has been used in key positions both in attack and defence, and 2007 was no different. Despite settling in the full-back position in 2006, Holland was again used at both ends last season in his 10 games. He has performed well at both ends throughout his career at both Richmond and Melbourne, scoring 35 goals as a forward in 1999 before succeeding in defence in 2001 in a successful Tigers side.
