After an impressive debut season in 2006 when he played all 22 H&A games, Bartram had a nightmare 2007 season because of knee problems. He played just 91 minutes in Round 1 and was not seen again at either AFL or VFL level, however if he regains fitness for 2008 he will be a vital cog in the Melbourne midfield as a tagger after the departure of Simon Godfrey.
