In just his second season at AFL level, Jones played 21 games in 2007 and finished second in the Melbourne B&F and third in the NAB Rising Star. Despite spending plenty of time resting on the bench, Jones ranked highly at the Demons for inside 50s, score assists and clearances as he showed maturity beyond his years. While he can improve on his kicking and discipline, Jones is one of the competition's brightest youngsters.
