Sylvia is yet to deliver on the potential that saw him taken with pick No.3 in the 2003 NAB AFL Draft. In 52 career games Sylvia has shown glimpses of his best both up forward or in the midfield, but has yet to perform on a consistent basis in either position. A dominant goalkicking midfielder at junior level, Sylvia has struggled with injuries in his four seasons and has been unable to regularly take the strong marks or kick goals as frequently as he did before getting drafted.
