Dew has come out of retirement to play for the Hawks in 2008. A member of Port Adelaide's inaugural season (1997) and Premiership side in 2004, Dew retired at the end of 2006 citing a lack of motivation after 160 games at the top level. Renowned for his booming left-foot kick, Dew can be equally effective across half-back as up forward, but faces the huge challenge of getting back into shape after a year out of the game.
