The 2008 season will be Suckling's second on the Hawks' rookie list after spending the majority of last season in the VFL reserves. Suckling's greatest asset is his long kicking which was on show at the 2006 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships where he recorded the most long kicks to advantage at the carnival.
