Franklin's match-winning performance for the Hawks in the 2007 elimination final win over Adelaide confirmed his status as one of the young superstars of the AFL. In only his third season since being drafted, Franklin excited crowds in 2007, booting 73 goals for the season, the third-most of any player. He went from being the most accurate in front of goal in 2006 to being one of the worst in 2007 however, scoring an amazing 2.11 in a late season match. Brilliant at ground level for his size and improving overhead, Franklin is capable of anything in 2008.
