Ladson has gradually improved his numbers in six seasons in the AFL. He has missed only two games in the past two seasons. Last year he was given jobs on midfielders and dangerous small forwards. A safe user of the ball, Ladson not only stops an opponent most weeks but also provides the Hawks with plenty of attack, averaging 21 disposals per game in 2007.
