Williams' 2007 season was ruined by injury, however he remains a dangerous leading forward, despite standing only 180cm. He led Hawthorn's goalkicking with over 60 majors in both 2005-06, but after getting injured in Round 4 last season he was on the sidelines for the remainder of the year. The Hawthorn forward-line had to be re-configured in his absence last season and may need to be changed once again upon his return.
