Tenace was a top-10 pick at the 2003 NAB AFL Draft, but has failed to consolidate a spot in the Geelong side. A running midfielder, Tenace played only nine games last season yet averaged a career-high 18 disposals in those games. He had a purple patch from Rounds 7-9, where he averaged 25 disposals, but failed to keep this form up, averaging only 14 disposals in his remaining four games of the season.
