Farmer remains one of the competition's most creative small forwards despite missing the opening 12 rounds of last season due to two six-week suspensions. He was a multiple goalkicker in six of his eight games last season and won more of the ball than ever with an average of 14 disposals per game. In 2006 he played a large part in Fremantle's preliminary final finish, booting 31 goals in the final eight H&A rounds and ending the season with 55 majors.
