Palmer was the No.7 selection in the 2007 NAB AFL Draft and is a proven junior goalkicking midfielder. He had an outstanding 2007 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships where in three games he totalled a record 97 disposals and also led division one with nine goals. He played 14 games of senior football for East Fremantle in the WAFL seniors last season.
