Crowley was a damaging goal-kicking midfielder in 2006 and while he won more of the ball last season, his impact on the scoreboard decreased. His role changed slightly last season as he was used in a number of stopping roles on the likes of Chris Judd, Shaun Burgoyne and Jimmy Bartel. He was a multiple goalkicker only twice last season and also saw his kicking efficiency drop to the average category.
