Lucas has not missed a game in the last three seasons and has booted the fifth most goals of any player in that time. He booted 61 goals last season and recorded a career-high goal scoring accuracy of 69%. He kicked the second most goals at Essendon last season, ranking No.1 for marks inside 50, goal assists and long kicks. He had one of the most dominant quarters in recent history when he booted seven goals from eight kicks in the last quarter against West Coast at Subiaco in Round 22.
