Houli, the first devout Muslim to play in the AFL, made his debut in Round 7 last season playing four games in a row averaging 11 disposals in 67 minutes per game. In his junior days, he was an inside midfielder winning plenty of contested possessions, however during his limited time in the AFL he has become more of an outside player winning 84% of his possessions uncontested last season. Houli looks to have a bright future in the Bombers midfield and should get more opportunities in 2008.
