McPhee has been at Essendon for five seasons now and was its B&F winner in 2004, also winning All-Australian selection that same season. He averaged a career-high of 20 disposals and eight marks in 2007 and ranked equal-No.1 at the club in marks from opposition kicks. New coach Matthew Knights has signalled his intent to use McPhee further up the field this season meaning we could see him spend more time either in the midfield or across the half-forward line.
