Hille played 18 games last season but saw his game-time drop by 24 minutes per game compared to 2006. As a result his numbers declined as he averaged fewer disposals, marks, contested possessions, hitouts and clearances per game than the previous season. His game against West Coast in Round 11 showed how important he can be for the Bombers as he finished with 20 disposals, 12 contested possessions, seven clearances, seven marks and 16 hitouts in what was one of the games of his career. He is a leader at the club and was captain for the majority of the 2006 season after a season ending injury to Matthew Lloyd.
