Burns is Collingwood's second oldest player and is due to play his 250th game early in 2008. He played all 25 games last season and was the most benched player at Collingwood playing over 100 minutes in just one game last season. He won the fifth most disposals at the club, led them in centre clearances and free kicks and ranked second in contested possessions, hardball-gets, looseball-gets, clearances and tackles.
