Clarke made an unbelievable start to his career considering the boy from Ireland had never kicked a football before 2006. He played 12 games last season averaging 17 disposals and six contested possessions per game. He was a great user of the ball as he hit the target with 81% of his disposals. He also stood up on the big stage as he won at least 20 disposals in both the semi and preliminary finals. All the early signs indicate that this bloke could not only become a Collingwood cult hero but a genuine star midfielder.
