Barham is the son of former Collingwood player Ricky. He arrives at the club after being taken as a father-son selection in the 2007 NAB AFL Draft. He was named in the 2007 TAC Cup team of the year where he excelled with his run out of defence, ranking No.1 in the competition for running bounces.
