Anthony was just 17 years old when his name was read out at the 2005 NAB AFL Draft. Being a key defender he was always going to be given time to develop. He played 14 games in the VFL in 2006 but did not play a game of football last season as he suffered a serious neck-injury in the 2007 pre-season.
