Pendlebury finished second in the 2007 NAB Rising Star Award behind Geelong's Joel Selwood. He played 23 games last season averaging 19 disposals, five marks and three tackles per game winning double figure disposals in every game except Round 17 when he left the field with an ankle injury after only five minutes. He also ranked fourth in contested possessions at Collingwood and third in hardball-gets while his 20 goals was the most by any of the Magpies' top 10 ball winners. He also finished equal runner-up in Collingwood's B&F award, one vote behind winner, Travis Cloke.
