Thomas is an excitement machine and has played 41 of a possible 48 games since arriving at Collingwood after being selected with Pick No. 2 at the 2005. He has played the most games of any player taken at that draft and was one of seven Collingwood players to play all 25 games last season. So far in his career he has averaged 15 disposals per game and his consistency has been great as he has finished with less than 10 disposals on only two occasions. Thomas has mainly played as a half-forward flanker so far in his career but should make a permanent move into the midfield for the 2008 season.
