Bower is yet another Western Australian taken by the Blues in the last three years. He improved on his two appearances of 2006 by playing 10 games last season, averaging 13 disposals per game. He spent the season playing in defence, but was used in sweeping roles as well as stopping roles - but it was the former that he looked the most comfortable in. He finished with double-figure disposals in the final rounds of the season including a career-high of 21 against Melbourne in Round 22.
